About me

Image of downward pointing arrow

Twenty-five years ago, I started a production company with my roommate, who later became an independent director. We had no film industry knowledge, no formal education in production, and absolutely no network—just a bold (or perhaps naïve) desire to make films our way.

Those early years were defined by a steep learning curve. We built everything from scratch, often taking the long road because we simply didn't know there were shortcuts. Every connection, every bit of industry knowledge, every financing strategy—we discovered them through trial and error, sometimes at considerable cost of time, energy, and peace of mind.

It would have saved me years of frustration and countless sleepless nights if I'd had trusted advisors to turn to with questions, or mentors who could have guided me through the complexities of international production. This experience is precisely why I've created these services.

Professional Journey

As the founder of Revolver Amsterdam, I've spent over 15 years developing my expertise in all aspects of filmmaking—from development and financing to production and distribution. Throughout this journey, I've maintained a focus on projects that push creative boundaries while remaining socially relevant, spanning feature films, documentaries, and mixed media works.

My career has been shaped by an international perspective, with projects spanning Europe, the Americas, and Asia. This global approach has allowed me to build a network of collaborators across continents and develop a deep understanding of how different markets and film cultures operate.

As a producer, I've been fortunate to work on more than twenty feature films and documentaries—often complex international productions involving diverse teams, cross-border financing, and creative problem-solving. These films have been showcased at prestigious festivals like Cannes, an experience that continues to fuel my passion for storytelling.

International Collaboration

One of my greatest strengths is fostering meaningful international collaborations. I frequently serve as the Dutch producing partner on globally developed projects, working with directors from diverse backgrounds including Whit Stillman, Ernesto Contreras, Paz Encina, Eduardo Williams, and Simon Jaquemet.

My projects typically involve multiple production companies across different countries. For example,The Human Surge 3 was a co-production between Argentina, Brazil, and Portugal, whileElectric Child connects Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the Philippines.

Throughout my career, I've balanced narrative features and documentaries, consistently bringing attention to social issues and unique voices while supporting directors in realizing bold cinematic visions. Collectively, the productions I've been involved with have earned over 16 awards, reflecting our commitment to bringing compelling international stories to global audiences.

I believe the best projects emerge from genuine collaboration, where each partner brings their unique strengths and perspectives to the table.

As someone who built their career from the ground up, I understand both the creative and business challenges of bringing films to life, and I'm committed to sharing that knowledge with others.
